Jo Ramessur-Williams
Director & Lead Trainer
Prior to retiring from the police force, Jo held the esteemed position of Detective Superintendent, overseeing the Protection of Vulnerable People unit (PVPU) within her force. Notably, she was the first female to achieve this rank within her organisation.
Throughout the first half of her policing career, Jo served on the front lines, fulfilling various uniformed roles. In the latter half of her career, she transitioned to an investigative capacity where she excelled.
In 2018, Jo was selected for a secondment to Public Health Wales, where she assumed the role of National Operational Policing lead for a substantial Home Office funded program. This ground breaking initiative aimed to adopt a trauma-informed approach to policing vulnerability, while also taking into account the impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences.
Jo's skills, passion, and commitment to fostering a more compassionate world shine through in every aspect of her work.

Sally Rivers
Director & Lead Trainer
Sally, an experienced and accomplished professional, brings a wealth of expertise to her role at J3MS Consulting. With a background as a former senior executive in the charity, not-for-profit, and public health sectors, Sally has successfully led transformation and change management initiatives, developed national strategies, and represented UK-wide charity and Public Health Wales at prestigious conferences, training sessions, and media events.
Sally was the National Programme Manager for a £6.87m Home Office funded Police Reform and Transformation Board programme in Wales. During this time, she collaborated with police and criminal justice partners to drive significant improvements and achieve positive outcomes. Sally's dedication to public health is evident in her involvement in advising and supporting local authorities throughout and following the pandemic. As a committed Public Health Manager, she has provided valuable guidance and assistance to ensure the well-being of communities. With Sally's extensive experience, professionalism, and dedication, clients can trust that they are in capable hands.

Dave Ramessur-Williams
Director
Dave served as a custody Sergeant in the police service for 30 years before retiring. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated his expertise as a compassionate and empathetic leader. Dave has consistently shown his ability to make fair and impartial decisions based on solid evidence. Among his various roles, Dave also worked as an Air Observer Trainer for over 10 years. This position exposed him to high-pressure and high-risk situations. This experience has greatly contributed to Dave's ability to remain calm under pressure. It has also enabled him to effectively solve problems, assess risks, and communicate with individuals who may be undergoing trauma or stress.
Karl Rivers
Director
Karl is one of our directors and brings a wealth of experience as an Environmental Health Officer. He has dedicated his entire career to working for a local authority, where he has had the opportunity to encounter a diverse range of individuals while enforcing housing conditions and leading area renewal and energy efficiency programs. Karl is deeply committed to providing outstanding services to residents in disadvantaged and socially unequal areas in Wales and beyond. Through his work, he has gained valuable insights into the everyday challenges faced by vulnerable individuals, including the current cost of living crisis.
